Fossil raw materials such as crude oil are mainly used for the production of plastics. The ever-increasing demand for these goods, combined with production using finite resources, means that alternative methods must be found.

The plastics processing plant will be used to process used plastics from the dual system so that they can be returned to the economic cycle as a compactate.

The aim is to produce a compactate from polyolefins with a purity of 95%.

Sorted plastic fractions such as MK 350, MK 352, PPO Flex, 324 polypropylene and 329 polyethylene from the dual system are to be used as the starting material. By implementing the plant technology, the Stork Group is making a further contribution to conserving resources. The production of plastics is on the rise. This is why it is so important that used plastics are recycled in order to conserve crude oil, a finite resource.
